Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the US Passport Photo application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

The App allows users to take, adjust, and export passport-style photos for official documents. The App provides tools including auto-alignment, background removal, compliance checking, and digital export.

No Government Affiliation

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of State, any U.S. government agency, or any foreign government. While we strive to meet published photo requirements, we do not guarantee acceptance of photos by any government agency.

User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for verifying that your photo meets all applicable requirements before submission to any government agency.
• You must not use the App for fraudulent purposes or to create falsified identification documents.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription ($9.99/year) with additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Carthage Labs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your photos remain your property.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carthage Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to rejection of photos by government agencies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that photos produced will be accepted by any government agency.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or to Carthage Labs.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
